[That was actually kind of fun, as far as fun went for Waver Velvet. He really didn't have much time for this kind of thing, but...well, it was hard for him to refuse someone he almost considered a friend. ('Friend' was a difficult concept for him, still.)]
[He had just been about to say something regarding the trial itself before Edgeworth's own words cut him off; looking over drew a quiet curse under his breath followed by 'excuse me' as he quickly stepped over to the giggling girls in question.]
[It seemed he was speaking to them regarding some assignment; or rather, they were using it as an excuse to talk to him at all. One of them shyly stammered out a respectful 'Lord El-Melloi' in addressing him, to which Waver sharply added 'the second' in an annoyed voice.]
[Whatever the particulars of the conversation, he seemed to be doing a very good job of scaring them off.]
Sorry about that. [Once they'd rushed off (with no small amount of shy giggling), Waver walked back over to Edgeworth with an aggravated frown.] I don't know how the hell they keep finding me; I'm starting to think London must be smaller than I always thought.
